Report of a Case of Pseudomonas Meningitis Treated with Gentamicin

Abstract
|
|
|
An experience was gained on the use of Gentamicin intrathecally for Pseudomonas meningitis.
30 year old undernourished house-wife who had a history of gynecological operation under the spinal
anesthesia a week before admission to this hospital, was treated successfully with medication of gen-
tamicin, 1 mg daily intrathecally, and 2-4mg/ kg per day intramusculary in divided doses. (table 1) No toxic effects were seen in this case.
